Steri strips and showers …?

I had surgery 14 and Steri strips instead of stitches. I had to ICD cup is about 2 inches long. The doctor says 10 days until I could shower and the time is up, but the bands are always there. "I can take off? Chop like crazy and my appointment to go check injury is not until Thursday. Suggestions?? Thanks!

Steri strips usually fall off. But instead, you can trim the edges of the strips sterile loose pulling against them. However, if the incision is healed, and after the shower, the bands tend to be easier to remove. If not, or if you have any discomfort or bleeding, then cut free edges. If there are problems with the incision, it is best to contact your doctor who performed the procedure for advice. Hope that helped some.
