How do you remove surgical tape WITHOUT PAIN and Risking the re-opening of a wound?
Hey guys and girls and inbetweens,
I recently got an operation on my FACE and a week later got stitches removed and the nurse stuck micropore tape (which is paper like, and has tiny holes which the human eye can’t detect) on a semi bleeding wound. I can see the area is still purple and i’m assuming those are scabs or something. The doctor told me to take it off after 6 days and that I could shower and everything with it on. (I don’t want to get the area wet so I didn’t wet the area when I showered)
What’s the best way to remove it that I can do at home? apply water?(micropore tape works BETTER with damp skin that’s been freshly dried) apply moisteriser? baby oil??

You may want to take a damp wash cloth and gently apply to the tape, keep repeating this and the tape will begin to come loose. At that point it should be easy to remove.
