Do combat medics (68W) get assigned to a combat unit at their duty station or not until they get deployed?
What happens when I am finished with training to be a Combat Medic (68W)? Do I get assigned straight to a combat unit (11b, 19d, etc) to get my combat training, or do I get assigned to a Med unit and get combat training with them?
Either or. 68Ws flip flop back and forth from time spent with combat units or being assigned to clinics to ensure they stay proficient in their duties.
