How to reduce swelling / bruising around the eyes?
Hello. My sister came into collision with another girl while swimming. His eye areais fully inflated, and there is a cut below his eye. She wants to know if you can drink or eat something that will reduce the swelling and bruising? thank you very much
You can use ice to reduce swelling. Use an Ice Pack wrapped in a towel. Apply your eyes for 15 minutes, remove and wait 15 minutes. Repeat as necessary. It is not something to reduce bruising though. Other than that, your sister should keep her dark eyes and let stand until it heals (1-2 weeks). She may try to cover the eye with an eye patch or sunglasses. Hope this helps
