Another question (s) on the process of Vacutainer?
I have another question about the process of Vacutainer, I am a research report Phlebotomy different procedures. This is the situation: 1. Is it true once the rubber stopper has been pierced once, and a vacuum is used, it's over? For example, if the void consumes only a small amount of blood, a new needle can be connected to the SAME vacutainer pierced again (again) and try again? Where is a vacuum in the vacutainer essentially disappeared after a trial due to the negative pressure inside? So, basically, a shot from the whole or nothing? After moving to a new procedure, like a butterfly and discarded Vacutainer tube. 2. The negative pressure inside the vacuum uses vacuum to pull blood in the collection tube, theres no turning back in the vein is simple physics. 3. Vacutainer "owners" can be reused, but this practice is not more. Right? Thank you very much to everyone for the help, especially the last question too.
Not supposed to reuse a vacutainer Never! Even if it is in the same patient! Their intent is not supposed that the lottery twice in one arm. If you can not get a sample, you should ask someone else. (That is, the elbow notaccessiblee patients median) If you have difficulty obtaining a blood sample, make sure that after the steps.Make certainly not trying to get the free sample bottle properly inserted in vacutainer suction as it does not.
