The first bike was wooden scooter, called celerifere gear was invented around 1790 by Count Mede Sivrac France. In 1816, Baron Karl von Drais to Sauerbrun, of Germany, invented a model with a steering bar attached to the front wheel, which he called a dandy horse. It has two wheels (same size), and the pilot sat between two wheels, but no pedals to move, had to push the bike forward with your feet (a bit like a scooter). He exhibited his bicycle in Paris, April 6, 1818
